Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Litseul in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Litseul is a curated photography platform. A small, hand-picked group of photographers post here. Anyone can browse for free. There's no algorithm deciding what gets seen, no ranking by follower count, and nothing for sale.

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We collect your date of birth to confirm this, but we don't verify it beyond what you tell us.

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything that happens under your account. One person, one account — don't create multiple accounts to get around our rules (including review limits or suspensions).

You keep full ownership and copyright of every photo you upload. By uploading, you confirm: • It's your own original work, and you hold the copyright to it. • You're not violating anyone's portrait rights or privacy by publishing it. • It wasn't generated by AI, in whole or in part. This rule has no exceptions, and violating it can result in permanent suspension.

Litseul doesn't verify whether this permission was actually obtained. If a photo is published without proper consent from someone recognizable in it, responsibility for that rests entirely with the photographer who uploaded it — not with Litseul.

By uploading, you give Litseul a license to store the file, display it in the feed, on your profile, and in sitewide features described elsewhere in these Terms (such as Curator's Pick). This license is non-exclusive — you're free to post the same photo anywhere else, sell it, or license it to others.

You also give Litseul a non-exclusive right to feature your photo on Litseul's own official channels — our website and official social media accounts — for the purpose of promoting Litseul itself. This doesn't extend to selling your photo, licensing it to third parties, or using it in advertising for anything other than Litseul, and you can ask us to stop featuring a specific photo in our own promotion at any time.

Published photos display a small watermark (the site logo, and your name or signature if you've set one). If we ever change our watermark policy, it won't apply retroactively to photos already published.

Anyone can browse, like, save, and follow for free. Uploading requires an approved photographer application — a few portfolio links, a short note about yourself, and one representative photo. We review every application by hand and usually reply within 3 business days. If your application isn't approved, you can apply again after 7 days.

Once approved, every photo you upload goes through the same review before it's published. Approved photos appear right away. Rejected ones come with a reason, sent privately — nothing about a rejection is public.

Badges are given by hand by Litseul, not earned automatically through any formula. We can award or remove a badge at our discretion.

Don't do any of the following:

Anyone can report a photo, comment, post, or profile that they believe violates these Terms. We review every report and may remove content, suspend an account, or take no action, at our discretion. Filing false or malicious reports may itself result in a warning or restriction on your ability to report.

We may also suspend or remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, on our own initiative — without waiting for a report — if we believe these Terms have been violated.

If you'd like to deactivate your account, email us at jk.muldori@gmail.com. Your personal information is deleted after a short grace period. Your published photos, comments, and posts stay on the site. You lose your photographer status and any following/follower connections. If you change your mind, you can email us to restore your account, but only within that grace period.

We hope this never happens, but if Litseul ever closes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a chance to download everything you've shared.

If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, we can use them to improve Litseul without any obligation to credit or compensate you.

Litseul is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for disputes between users regarding copyright or portrait rights, though we'll assist in resolving reported issues in good faith. We don't guarantee the service will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Litseul's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months — which, since Litseul is currently free to use, is zero.

If your use of Litseul, or something you upload, leads to a claim, loss, or legal action against Litseul, you agree to defend and compensate us for any resulting costs — including reasonable legal fees — to the extent the claim arose from your violation of these Terms or your own wrongdoing.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Litseul regarding your use of the service, and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll do our best to let you know. Continuing to use Litseul after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
